Proclamation
WHEREAS, The City of Cupertino wishes to congratulate Public Works
Department Service Center Superintendent Carl Valdez on
receiving the 2019 Jerry D. Scott Superintendent of the Year Award
for the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter; and
WHEREAS,
dedicated service to Cupertino, Carl has been responsible for the
Public Works divisions of Grounds Maintenance, Street
Maintenance, Trees/Right of Way, and Fleet/Facilities; and
WHEREAS,
maintained a positive environment at the Service Center through
implementation of new and improved programs and successful
labor negotiations; and
WHEREAS,
our staff and community; and
WHEREAS,
infrastructure and ongoing education and training of members
and staff.
THEREFORE,
hereby congratulate
Carl Valdez
for his recognition as the 2019 Superintendent of the Year by the Maintenance
Superintendents Association.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of
