Proclamation
WHEREAS, The City of Cupertino wishes to recognize Stanford University in
its 2020 football season for decorating its stadium stands with trees
due to the inability of welcoming fans to the stadium as a result of
COVID-19 restrictions;
WHEREAS,
donate 60 of their 470 trees to the City of Cupertino; and
WHEREAS,
donation and will plant the trees at various City parks to honor
Stanford University’s generosity.
THEREFORE, I, Mayor Darcy Paul, and the Cupertino City Council do hereby
Proclaim our gratitude, and acknowledge this donation from
Stanford University
to the City of Cupertino. I look forward to seeing the trees in City parks and other locations
throughout Cupertino where the community can also appreciate this donation.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of
Cupertino to be affixed this Tuesday, January Nineteenth, Two Thousand and Twenty One.
