Proclamation
WHEREAS, The City of Cupertino wishes to recognize Roger Lee on the
occasion of his retirement for thirteen years of faithful and
professional service to the City of Cupertino; and
WHEREAS,
managing a street pavement network that was recently ranked
number one within all of the nine Bay Area counties, which
includes one hundred and six agencies; and
WHEREAS,
the environment by supporting the amendment of Cupertino
Municipal Code 14.12 to ensure the protection of City trees, with
Cupertino receiving Tree City USA status, and for supporting a
successful storm drain ballot initiative that annually provides
more than $1 million for storm water protection; and
WHEREAS,
for the City to help ensure successful negotiations of a 10-year
waste hauler franchise agreement and additional $5 million in
improvements to the City’s municipal water lease, the
reorganizations of internal divisions to ensure better service and
create streamlined processes, and the completion or significant
progress made on numerous projects that include bicycle,
pedestrian, storm drain, and library enhancements; and
WHEREAS,
Director of Public Works Roger Lee, and extends best wishes for
continued success in retirement and future endeavors; and
THEREFORE,
acknowledge and honor
Roger Lee
for his dedication and commitment to the City of Cupertino and congratulate him on the
occasion of his retirement from the City of Cupertino.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of
Cupertino to be affixed this Tuesday, December Seven, Two Thousand and Twenty One.
