Dear Honorable Mayor Hung Wei
It is with great pleasure that we extend to you an invitation to participate in the opening ceremony of the
2024 Golden State International Wushu Championships and USAWKF National Wushu Team Trials.
The tournament, hosted by the World Taiji Science Federation (WTSF), sponsored by
KungFuDirect.com, and sanctioned by the United States of America Wushu-Kungfu Federation, Inc.
(USAWKF), promises to be an exceptional event.
The competition will take place in all four exhibition halls of the Santa Clara Convention Center, with 10
competition venues set up. There are expected to be 98 teams in attendance, including coaches, referees,
parents, and spectators, totaling over 4000 participants. The Golden State International Wushu
Championships stands as the largest Wushu event in the United States. As an official event of the United
States Wushu-Kungfu Federation, participating athletes, especially youth athletes, Tai Chi practitioners,
and traditional Kung Fu athletes, represent the highest level of Wushu in the United States. This
competition will select outstanding athletes to represent the United States in various international
competitions, including the World Junior Wushu Championships in Brunei, the World Tai Chi
Championships in Singapore, the Pan-American Wushu Championships in September in Santa Clara, and
the Pan-American Wushu Open Championships, as well as the World Kungfu Championships next year
in Emeishan, China.
Additional Information:
The opening ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, May 25th, in the evening from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Following the ceremony, renowned masters and teams will present performances from 7:30 pm to 9:00
pm, with a speech anticipated around 6:45 pm. Please plan to arrive 20 minutes prior to the start time to
ensure you don't miss any of the excitement. Detailed reception information will be provided upon your
confirmation for further arrangements.
