Proclamation
WHEREAS, The City of Cupertino wishes to show its support for Palestinian
Cultural Day; and
WHEREAS,
the land west of the Jordan River and the Dead Sea; and
WHEREAS,
Christian or Muslim faith; and
WHEREAS,
such as love of family, commitment to education, hospitality, and
reverence for land, and they now share these values with the
residents of Cupertino and Santa Clara County; and
WHEREAS,
now approximately 30,000 and they have made major
contributions in the fields of business, engineering, law, and
medicine, and have shared their cultural talents in the areas of
poetry, literature, dance, and music as well; and
WHEREAS,
on Sunday, May 14 at the 22nd annual Palestinian Cultural Day
event at the San Jose County Plaza.
THEREFORE,
proclaim the day of May 14 as
Palestinian Cultural Day
in the City of Cupertino and encourage the community to celebrate the contributions that
Palestinians have made to our state and nation.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of
Cupertino to be affixed this Sunday, May Fourteenth, Two Thousand and Twenty Three.
