Proclamation
WHEREAS, The 63rd annual National Public Works Week focuses on
connecting the world through public works; and
WHEREAS,
services that are of vital importance to connecting the world
through public works and to public health, quality of life, and
well-being of the people of California and City of Cupertino; and
WHEREAS,
without the dedicated efforts of public works professionals, who
are responsible for rebuilding, improving, and protecting our
nation’s transportation systems, parks, public buildings, and other
structures and facilities essential for our residents; and
WHEREAS,
Cupertino to gain knowledge of and maintain an ongoing interest
of the public works programs in our community; and
WHEREAS,
follow up on requests and concerns, such as graffiti, potholes, tree
requests, street sweeping, and more; and
WHEREAS,
the community greatly enhance the results that can be attained by
our City’s qualified and dedicated Public Works employees.
THEREFORE,
proclaim the week of May 21 to 27 as the 63rd annual
National Public Works Week
in the City of Cupertino, and encourage all citizens and civic organizations to become
familiar with public works services and to recognize the contributions that public works
employees make to the health, safety, comfort, and quality of life in the City of Cupertino.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of
Cupertino to be affixed this Tuesday, May Second, Two Thousand and Twenty Three.
