OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE APPROVAL CO_ NITTEE
OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO recommending approval
of site, architecture, landscaping and grading

PROPERTY OWNER: Pacific Southwest Realty Company (Security Pacific
National Bank)

ADDRESS: 770 Welch Road, Palo Alto, California 54304.
LOCATION OF PROPERTY: Northeast corner of Pacifica Drive and
Saratoga -Sunnyvale Road
ZONE: .. PD (Planned Development with professional offices with related
general commercial intent)

Conditions;
1-7. Architectural and Site Approval Standard Conditions.
8. That 10 ft. sidewalks be used on the Saratoga -Sunnyvale Road and Pacifica
Drive frontages.
9. That there be a minimum of 25 ft. of landscaping adjacent to Saratoga -
Sunnyvale Road.
10. That: the applicant present a landscaping plan for staff approval, to continue
the landscaping of the Saratoga -Sunnyvale Road frontage area adjacent to
the bank property at the northerly driveway on Saratoga -Sunnyvale Road
and that landscaping for this area be of.a low nature not over 3 ft. in
height.
11. That the to Carob Trees on the west side of the building adjacent:" 6 *
Saratoga -Sunnyvale Road be moved slightly south.
12. That the juniper Phitzeriana on the east portion of the property be changed
to some other shrub that grows approximately 4 ft. high.
13. That the mounds on either side of the Pacifica Drive entry be increased
in height to 2 ft. with the plantings to be placed on the mounds.
1.4. That the Liquidambar tree at Pacifica Drive entrance be changed to some
broadleaf or coniferous type of evergreen tree.
15. That the lighting be continued in order for the applicant to present
intensity curves showing the amount of lighting to be available in parking
lot. The coc:mittee is concerned with the safety of employees in the
evening.

16. That the two signs on the building be continued in order to be heard
with the sign exception for the ground sign.
17. That the directional signs such as "Do not enter", "Motor banking" and
"Stop" be decreased in size to 18" wide x 10" high and that the top
of the signs be no more than 4 ft. above pavement at the locations
they are placed. The proposed sign at Pacifica entrance with the
Security Pacific Bank logo and words "Motor 3anking" be deleted.
18. That the ivy in the sloping section around the front of building be
changed to some other ground cover.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 22nd day of May, 1974, at a regular meeting of the
Architectural and Site Approval Committee of the City of Cupertino, State of
California, by the following roll call vote:
