RESOLUTION NO. 2309
OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO
RECOMMENDING DENIAL OF AN AMENDMENT OF USE PERMIT
APPLICATION 18-U-81 TO ELIMINATE A CONDITION WHICH
REQUIRES THAT CONSTRUCTION OF TWO (2) RESIDENTIAL
BUILDINGS (16 UNITS) COMMENCE WITH CONSTRUCTION OF
A MINI -STORAGE FACILITY.
APPLICANT: De Anza Forge (Cupertino Village)
ADDRESS: 1307 Mary Avenue, #201, Sunnyvale, California 94087
SUBMITTED: May 11, 1982
LOCATION: North side of Highway 280 approximately 400 ft. westerly of
De Anza Boulevard, at the terminus of Franco Court (behind the
Homestead Square Shopping Center and De Anza Lumber)

FINDINGS:
1. Mini -storage was originally approved solely as a buffering facility for
the residential use.
2. Permitting commercial development without a portion of the residential
area would conflict with the original intent of the planned development
residential zoning applied to subject property.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of June, 1982, at a regular meeting of the
Planning Commission of the City of Cupertino, State of California, by the
following roll call vote:
AYES: Commissioners: Blaine, Koenitzer, Chairman Claudy
NAYS: Binneweg
ABSTAIN: None
