Organizes and mobilizes volunteer pool . 3 Allows a vehicle for special interest groups, Affiliated Group Membership, to utilize support services for fund raising purposes. a Allows for savings of existinq park and recreation budget in some cases, ie non profit mailings 5. Allows for greater visibility for Park and Recreation issues and happenings throughout the community 6 Is self supporting through dues Controlled by Corp Board and Park and Recreation Deptartment Does not require the red tape of City government 3 Would be a likely benefit for Fine Arts Commission ventures 3 Ac_ountablity to City by financial and donation reports POLICY FOR CORPORATE AND PRIVATE SECTOR SUPPORT OF THE PARKS AND RECREATION SERVICES OF THE CITY OF CUPERT I NO Goal To accept and solicit funds, material, services from interest groups that may include Corporations, small business, and individuals The donations and grant will be aaministerea and dlstrlbutea by a non-profit public benefit corporation ( 501 c ) whos Intent is to assist in improving and promotinq public parks, open space and recreation services in the city of Cupertino.
