RESOLUTION NO. 2443
OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO
RECOMMENDING DENIAL OF A USE PERMIT TO DEVELOP AN
OFFICE COMPLEX CONSISTING OF TWO EXISTING STRUCTURES,
A NEW TWO-STORY OFFICE BUILDING AND RESERVATION OF A
PAD AREA FOR AN UNDEFINED FUTURE BUILDING.
APPLICANT: Andrew P. Jara (George Somps, et al)
ADDRESS: 3640 Grand Avenue, #204, Oakland, California 94610
SUBMITTED: July 29, 1983
LOCATION: North side of Stevens Creek Boulevard, 200 ft. west of Blaney Avenue
FINDINGS:
1. The proposed parking ratio of one (1) space for each 285 sq. ft. of floor
area within the structure is not consistent with parking standards used in
similar structures within the immediate neighborhood. One (1) space for
each 230 sq. ft. of building floor area has been utilized for smaller
multi -use professional office buildings.
2. Inasmuch as this project is, in fact, part of an overall development with
existing older office buildings, it is the Commission's finding that
integration and future upgrading of older buildings is desirable.
3. It is the Commission's opinion that the quality of architecture of the
proposed building is below standard for the area, as evidenced by new
office construction adjacent to the site.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of September, 1983, at a regular adjourned
