CI'.tY MAN1IGER
WHERFAS, the con1:inu.in] function of the Office of city Manager in the
event of a state of extreme emergency, state of disaster, or local
emergency or local disaster, as these terms are defined in Qlapter 1 of
Division 7 of the Mi1i~ am Veterans Code of the state of Califomia is
neœssazy to assure the effective operation of the government of the city
in copirq with conditions which may result in extreme peril to the life,

NCM, 'IHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city Ccunc:il of the city of
CUpertino as follows:
1. Approval is granted to the city Manager to appoint the follCllllin;J
officers or departments heads of the city to serve as city Manager Pro
~ whenever the City Manager is unavailable, am in the followirq
order of succession:
1. Bert viskcvich, Director of Public works
2. BaJ:bara Brown, Assistant to the city Manager
3. Blaine Sl'1yàer, Director of Finance
2. '!he tem "unavailable" as used in the preœdirq paragra¡;h means
that the city Manager is either killed, missirq, or so seriously injured
as to be unable to atten:i meetirqs or ot:hawise perfODll his duties. '!he
city Manager Pro ~ shall serve until the city Manager is available
