Chapter 19.132 of the Cupertino Municipal Code allows for administrative approval of minor changes im a
project. The Director reports his decision to the City Council and Planning Commission in time to allow
any Councihnember or Platming Commissioner to appeal the decision within fourteen calendar days.

Approve the use permit with the following additional conditions:
1. The maximwn 40't trailer shall be located west of the easterly building line of the immediately
adjoining retail building.
2. Additional planting materials shall be installed in existing planting beds locazed in the adjoining
parking lot including the landscaping bed located next to DeAtva Boulevard. The landscaping plan
shall be prepared by a landscape architect and shall be reviewed and approved by city staff. The intent
of the plan is to "soften" the visual impact of the trailer, not to fully screen said trailer from the view of
customers.
The effective date of this action is Wednesday, November l6 wit6 the fourteen calemdar day appeal ending
on Wednesday, November 30, 1994.

In preparing your report for the Planning Commission hearing regarding the size of your
container sign, I discovered there is a provision in Ordinance 1426 which allows the
Director of approve a larger sign if it is compatible with adjacent businesses. The
Director is able to make this finding, so we will not need to schedule a hearing. Your
sign is approved, and we will refund your fee.
