Issuance of a temporary Use permit for Yolano Veterinary Mobile Service. 4516 Main Street, Georgetown,
California, 95634, to conduct a mobile veterinary service.
Description
The owners of Yolano Veterinary Service conduct mobile veterinarian services in conjunction with and as an
extension to pet oriented general commercial businesses in the community. They operate 1-1/2 hours per month.
. The general commercial ordinance requires a conditional use permit for veterinary services in this zoning district,
Action
The applicant was approved for a temporary 6-month use permit allowing staff time to evaluate the appropriateness
of mobile services in the general commercial zoning district.

Regarding: Mobile Veterinary Service -Temporary Use Permit
Ms. March,
The Ciry of Cupertino Municipal Code, Section 19.56 (General Commercial) requires a conditional use
pernlit for veterinary services performed in General Commercial zoning districts. In order for Yolano Veterinary
Service to operate at a commercial location, a use permit must be issued. As determined by the Director of
Community Development a temporary use permit has been issued to Yolano Veterinary Service for a period of 6
months, expiring on July 24, 1994. During this time period, the City will evaluate the commercial zoning ordinance,
• including mobile services. I will send you a notification with the dates and times of these public hearings. The
Directors decision to issue a temporary use permit may be appealed by anyone within fourteen days of this decision.

The temporary use permit issued to Yolano Veterin:.ry Service is issued with operating conditions:
I. Yolano must operate in conjunction with and as an extension to an existing pet oriented general commercial
business. An example, of [Iris type of business is Petco which sells animal products mtd food.
2. Solaro may operate 1-1/2 hours, per month, at any time within the hours of 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM. The days of
operation include Saturday or Sunday.
3. The use permit is temporary and expires on July 24, 1994. If the Cupertino City Council has not yet made a
determination with regard to mobile services, in order to continue business activities beyond July 24, 1994.
you must apply for a permanent use permit, at one business location, prior to the expiration date.
4. Conducting business in alleys between commercial buildings and residential properties is prohibited.
5. Solaro may not block entrance driveways, building entrances or exits.
