Re: Report of Director's decision regazding administrative approval of a minor modification.
Chapter 19.132 of the Cupertino Municipal Code allows administrative approval of minor changes to a
project. The director reports his decision to the city council and planning commission in time to allow
any councilmember or planning commissioner to appeal the decision within fourteen calendaz days.
• Application:
Minor modification to 11-U-90, Apple R&D Campus at 2 Infinite Loop for GTE Mobilenet.
Description:
GTE Mobilnet is proposing to install a cellulaz antenna on the roof of the Apple Computer R&D
Campus. The antenna is necessary to fill some voids in cellular telephone service. The antenna will be
slightly visible from De Anza Boulevard between Mariani Avenue and the I-280 freeway.
Staff has reviewed various on-site and ofl~site locations for the antenna and found this location to be the
least intrusive and visible.
Action:
The Director of Community Development has approved the minor change request.

• building 2 has been approved as a minor change to the master use permit. The approval has been made
based on sheets Al, A3, and AS dated Mazch 30, 1995 of this application.
Pursuant to Cupertino Municipal Code Chapter 19.132, each city councilmember and planning
commissioner were notified of this decision and have 14 calendar days, until May 17,1995, to appeal this

The City of Cupertino Planning Department has reviewed GTE Mobilnet's proposal to
install a single, receive only, GPS antenna with mounting bracket at the above subject
cellular transceiving facility. This facility was approved as a minor change to the existing
master use permit by administrative letter dated May 3, 1995.
After review of the submitted plans for the proposed GPS antenna addition, the City of
Cupertino Planning Department has determined that the proposed antenna addition is
• consistent with intent and purpose of the original approval and this signed waiver grants
approval to install the GPS antenna, as requested without fiuther Planning Review
permits or approvals.
