Date: June 14, 1996 5ubj: Report of Director's decision regarding approval of a Minor Modification to a Use Permit Chapter 19.132 of the Cupertnio Municipal Code provides for administrative approval of minor changes in projects. The Director reports his decision to the City Council and Planning Commission in time to allow any Councilmember or Planning Commissioner to appeal the decision Application No. 9~tJ-94 (Mod.) Forge/Homestead. Minor modification to approved plans for • a 196 unit for rent condominium project at 20691 Homestead Road. Descripsion Recreation center floor nlans and elevations: The recreation center site plan was approved in September 1995 (sheet A). However, no floor plans or elevations were approved at that time. Sheets Al0a and AIOb are submitted for approval. Of note is the 29 foot height of the "cupola." Staff has no problem with this height because the previous design of the entry roof in that azea was 27 feet. Furthermore, the height of the two-story units along the east property line is 28 feet, at about the same distance from the property line. Therefore, the visual impact on the properties to the east is approximately the same as the previous elevation and the residential portion of the project. Staff discussed the elevations with representatives from the adjacent Countrywood development, and they have no concerns. The Director approves the changes as described.
