Following is a description of the printing specifications: 1. Four issues per year, mailed the end of February, April, August and December. 2. Thirty-two (32) pages in each issue. 3. Printed on 28-30 lb. recycled newsprint. 4. Finished size 81/2" x 11". 5. 22,000 copies printed each issue. 6. Printing to be done in two color ink. 7. Photographs (black and white) and artwork will be used in each issue. Pick-up and Delivery: Copy will be ready for pick-up by the printer at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, in the Parks and Recreation office, Cupertino City Hall, 10300 Torre Avenue, Cupertino. The recreation schedule must be printed and delivered by the printer to the Cupertino Post Office no later than the following Wednesday morning after we have provided printer with artwork. Recreation schedules will be bundled according to post office requirements and printer is responsible for maintaining current carrier route information for Cupertino residents and preparing post office's bulk mailing forms. Sample copies and art work must be returned to the Parks and Recreation office by the printer. Copy Preparation: The recreation schedule will be given to the printer camera ready on 81/2" x I grid sheets with acetate overlays provided by the printer. The schedule is to be saddle stitched. Average issue requires 5 photographs (black and white) and several screened areas. The cover will include art or photo. Printing will be done in two-color inks (black and second color to be determined) and require registration. • Page 2 Printing Specifications(Cont.) May 24 1993 Date of Contract: The recreation class schedule contract begins with the Fall 1993 issue and is in effect for eight publications concluding with the mailing of the summer schedule in April, 1995. The Fall issue will be ready for pick-up by the printer on Friday, August 13, 1993. Printer will deliver the recreation schedule to the post office and City Hall on Wednesday, August 18, 1993. Submittal of Bid: All bid proposals must be in sealed envelopes and received by the Cupertino City Clerk's office before 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 15, 1993. The proposal should include product samples using similar formats and paper. A formal bid opening will be conducted in the city council chamber at 2:00 p.m. on that day. Bids may be addressed to City Clerk, City of Cupertino, 10300 Torre Ave., Cupertino, CA 95014. The council chamber is located in City Hall. Contract selection will be awarded to the lowest responsible bid demonstrating the ability to perform the contract.
