This MEMORANDUM' OF UNDERSTANDING is entered into between the COJNTY OF S;LNTA CLARA and City cf Cuper-lino on this i7r,i, day of Aug')•�t 1992 for the purpose of expressing our commitment to work cooperatively together to design, develop and establish an organizational infrastructure and a clearly defined coordinating body that can arrange for the delivery of an array of appropriate integrated supportive services for homeless families and those at risk of homelessness. The supportive services will be geared towards increasing self-sufficiency and employability for the targeted population for the attainment of permanent housing and to prevent the reoccurrence of homelessness. We also agree and certify that we will work cooperatively toward maintaining concerted efforts in the provision of these services and to cooperate with Federal evaluation contractor (s) funded by HUD for review of the program and ser-y' ces a d. Sincerely, 1 DORDOT iY t j CITY CLERK CITY OF CUPERTIN0 DC/so cc: Vera Gil, Housing Specialist RESOLU i ION NO. 8729 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTAN )ING BETWEEN THE CITY OF CUPERTINO AND THE COUNTY OF SANTA CLARA, COORDINATION OF SUPPORT SERVICES FOR HOMELESS FAMILIES AND THOSE AT RISK OF HOMELESSNESS WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council a Memorandum of Understanding between the County of Santa Clara and the City of Cupertino, which provides for the agencies to work cooperatively for coordinated delivery of support services for homeless families and those at risk of homelessness in Santa Clara County; and WHEREAS, the previsions, terms, and conditions of said Memorandum of Understanding have been reviewed and approved by the Director of Community Development and the City Attorney; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Cupertino hereby authorizes the City Manager and the City Clerk to execute said Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of the City of Cupertino.
