Subj: Report of Director's Decision Regarding a Minor Modification
Chapter 19.132 of the Cupertino Municipal Code allows for administrative approval of
minor changes in a project. The Director reports his decision to the City Council and
Planning Commission in time to allow any Councilmember or Planning Commissioner
to appeal the decision within fourteen calendar days.
Application
Modification of Application No. 24-ASA-98; Lot 1-10, Hammond Way; Oak Valley
Development.
Discussion
A new single family residence was approved on this lot. The approved elevations are included in
the application and the location of lot 1-10 is found in Exhibit A. On the front elevation, the
applicant proposes to modify the stonework by shifting some of it from the right front toward the
center of the front elevation. Also, the double doors are converted to a single door. On the left
elevation, some of the stonework has been eliminated from near the garage area, and shutters
were added to a window. On the right elevation, some stonework was eliminated on the
left side.
The applicant states that the architect felt that the massing on the right front was too heavy.
Staff believes the changes are minor and has no problem with the proposal.
Action
The Director of Community Development approves the minor modification.
