The Director reports his decision to the City Council and Planning Commission in time to allow any Councilmember or Planning Commissioner to appeal the decision within fourteen calendar days. Application: Minor Modification of ASAC 51,728.1 to provide auto display parking spaces 1'01' an e- commerce auto broker tenant at an existing industrial building located at 10950 North Blaney Avenue, Suite A (liquidprice.com) Description: Liquidprice.com, a new internet company, which serves as an electronic clearinghouse between buyers and dealers of used automobiles has establ ished a 4,600 square I(lot tenancy in an existing industrial/office building located at 10950 N. Blaney A venue. The property is zoned ML-fa, light industrial zoning, which allows automobile sales. While Liquidprice.com does not actually take possession of the vehicles that are sold because it just matches buyers with sellers, it must obtain an auto dealer's license from the State which requires the licensee to have dedicated parking stalls for display or automobiles, even though the licensee may never display automobiles. Exhibits A & B show the location of the reserved display spaces and the state-required signage for each space. The signage is 5 square feet per sign. There is sufficient parking for liquidprice.com (16 spaces required), the car display spaces and the other bu i Id i ng tenants who are a landscaping contractor and an office tenant (space L3 on plan). Action: The Director of Community Development deems the modification minor and approves the car display parking spaces with signage. This approval of the modification is effective April 13, 2000. The fourteen calendar day appeal period will expire on April 27,2000.
