AU'IHORIZING EXECUl'IOO OF A JOrnT EXERCISE OF roŒRS
AGREEMENT AND CXX>PERATION AGREEMENT WI'IH 'IHE CXXJNI'Y OF
SANTA CIARA Pœ. FISCAL YEARS 1988 - 1990
WHEREAS, in 1974, the United states Corgress enacted the Housing and
Canm1unity Developnent Act of 1974, herein called Act; and
WHEREAS, Title I of the Act allows Urban Counties to receive Canm1unity
Development Block Grants where such Counties enter into a Joint Exercise
of Powers Agreement am Cooperation Agreement with non-entitlement cities
to qualify as an urban County applicant umer the Act; and
WHEREAS, the City of CUpertino wishes to enter into such an agreement
with the County of Santa Clara to qualify such County as an Urban County
and to received Housing and Canm1unity Development funds thereby;
NOI'l, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
'!hat the City Council of the City of CUpertino authorizes execution of a
Joint Exercise of Powers and Cooperation Agreement with the County of
santa Clara for fiscal years 1988 - 1990 per attached EJàùbit "A".
PASSED AND ADOPl'ED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of CUpertino this 2m day of November, 1987 by the following vote:
