exterior of a residential unit located at 22206 Quinterno Ct.
Chapter 19.132 of the Cupertino Municipal Code allows for administrative
approval of minor changes in a project. The Director reports his decision to the
City Council and Planning Commission in time to allow any Councilmember or
Planning Commissioner to appeal the decision within fourteen calendar days.
APPLICANT
Leon Burda, 22206 Quinterno Court.
BACKGROUND
A director minor modification is required since the project site is located in a Planned
Development Zoning district. The applicant was able to obtain approval signatures
from all of the homeowners in the zoning district.
DISCUSSION
The applicant proposes to repair and extend (3-foot) an existing second story deck
facing partially the front and left side yard of the property. There will be minimal
privacy impact from the deck extension since the deck already exists. In addition, the
applicant proposes to extend the existing gable roof to cover portions of an existing flat
roof located at the rear corner of the house. This roof extension will not result in
additional habitable square footage or new second story windows. The adjacent
neighbors have reviewed the plans and do not object to the proposal.
ACTION TAKEN
The Director approves the modification.

I am asking your permission to perform the repairs in my house on 22206 Quintemo Ct. that slightly
change the appearance of the property.
Changes include:
. Replacing of the leaking flat section of the roof with the extension of the existing roof
. Reconstruction of the leaking balcony
Changes are recommended by General Constructor Jim Eastman (LiC# 525051) and are necessary
because leaks were re-occurring after several attempts to fix by previous owner and by myself.
Intend of this letter is to obtain authorization from Cupertino Planning Department to proceed with
constructional drawing, engineering and energy calculation for Construction Department.
