Subject: Director's Minor Modification to refinish and repaint the exterior of an
existing commercial building located at 1505 S. De Anza Blvd.
Chapter 19.132 of the Cupertino Municipal Code allows for administrative
approval of minor changes in a project. The Director reports his decision
to the City Council and Planning Commission in time to allow an appeal
of the decision within fourteen calendar days.
DISCUSSION:
The applicant, Graniterock, proposes to resurface and repaint the exterior of the
Graniterock showroom located at 1505 S. De Anza Blvd. The existing vertical corner
elements along the front and right side elevations are textured with small
stones/ pebbles. Graniterock proposes plastering over these rough surfaces to create
smooth exterior walls. In addition, the applicant proposes to remove the existing wood
slates on the front elevation above the shed roof. The walls will be painted earth-tone
colors approved by the Director of Community Development.
ACTION:
The Director approves the application, file no. DIR-2005-15.
