Subject: Director's Minor Modification DIR-2006-27 to install colored glass front
windows at an existing church, Peninsula Bible Church located on 10601 N.
Blaney Ave.
Chapter 19.132 of the Cupertino Municipal Code allows for administrative
approval of minor changes in a project. The Director reports his decision
to the City Council and Planning Commission in time to allow an appeal
of the decision within fourteen calendar days.
DISCUSSION:
The Peninsula Bible Church is located on the west side of Blaney Ave. and 650 feet
south of Interstate 280. The applicant proposes to: remove existing single-glazed
colored glass panels and intermediate supports, and replace them with new colored,
faceted stained glass windows and required supports. The modification is a significant
enhancement to the front elevation of the Church and staff has no concerns about the
proposed changes.
ACTION:
The Director of Community Development deems the modification minor and approves
the replacement of new glass window and required supports.
This approval of the modification is effective September 7, 2006. The fourteen calendar
day appeal period will expire on September 21, 2006.
