Subj: File No. DIR-2006-21: Director's Minor Modification to a Residential Permit (R-2005-
35) for a single-story addition
Chapter 19.128 of the Cupertino Municipal Code allows for the Director of Community
Development to grant a temporary use permit for a time period not exceeding administrative
approval of minor changes to a project. The Director reports his decision to the City Council and
Planning Commission in time to allow any Councilmember or Planning Commissioner to appeal
the decision within fourteen calendar days.
Application:
File No. DIR-2006-21: Director's Minor Modification to a Residential Permit (R-2005-35) for a
single-story addition, 884 S. Blaney Avenue
The applicant received approval for a new 2,698 square foot single-story home from the Design
Review Committee on October 20,2005. A modification is requested to retain the existing home
and construct a single-story addition for a total of2,487 square feet. The appearance of the home
is virtually the same as the prior approval. The applicant submitted signatures of adjacent
neighbors who indicate they have no objections to the changes.
Action:
The Director of Community Development approves the modification.
This approval of the modification is effective June 30,2006. The fourteen-day appeal period will
expire on July 13,2006.
