Subject: Director's Minor Modification DIR-2006-18 to a use permit (11-U-82) to modify
the exterior colors of an existing residential development (LeBeaulieu) located
at 10092 Bianchi Way.
Chapter 19.132 of the Cupertino Municipal Code allows for administrative
approval of minor changes in a project. The Director reports his decision
to the City Council and Planning Commission in time to allow an appeal
of the decision within fourteen calendar days.
DISCUSSION:
The applicant is requesting a Director's Minor Modification DIR-2006-18 to a use permit
(11-U-82) to modify the exterior colors of an existing residential development and an
approved but not built community building (M-2003-07).
The original use permit approval for the existing buildings included exterior cedar and
hardboard siding, with a natural finish. The colors approved for the community
building were to match the existing development. Though exterior colors are being
modified, no changes to the exterior wall materials are proposed.
Staff supports the exterior colors proposed, and feels that they are compatible with the
surrounding neighborhood. A letter was sent to adjacent neighbors, and no comments
were received.
ACTION:
The Director of Community Development deems the modification minor and approves
the minor site improvements.
This approval of the modification is effective July 28, 2006. The fourteen calendar day
appeal period will expire on August 11, 2006.
