This letter confirms the decision of the Planning Cammissian, given at the zxieeting of
February 14, 2000, approving the architectural review of entry archway and columns at
22555 Cristo Rey Drive (Gate of Heaven Cemetery), according to the enclosed cagy of
Planning Commission Resolution Na. 5097.
Please be aware that if this permit is not used within 2 years, it shall expire an February
I4, 2002.
Also, please pate that an appeal of this decision can. be made within 14 calendar days of
the decision. If this occurs, you will be riatified of a public hearing, which will be
scheduled before the City Council..

OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO
APPROVING AN ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW OF THE ENTRY ARCHWAY AND COLUMNS
AT 22555 CRISTO REY DRIVE (GATE OF HEAVEN CEMETERY)
SECTION I: PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Application No.: 1-ASA-00
Applicant: The Roman Catholic Bishop of San Jose
Location: 22555 Cristo Rey Drive
SECTION II: FINDINGS
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Cupertino received an application for an
Architectural and Site Approval, as described in this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that the changes are beneficial and compatible with the
surrounding area;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
That after careful consideration of maps, facts, exhibits, testimony and other evidence submitted in this
matter, the application no. 1-ASA-00, is here by approved; and
That the subconclusions upon which the findings and conditions specified in this Resolution are based
and contained in the public hearing record concerning Application 1-ASA-00 as set forth in the
Minutes of the Planning Commission Meeting of February 14, 2000, and are incorporated by reference
herein.
SECTION III: CONDITIONS ADMINISTERED BY THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPT.
APPROVED EXHIBITS
Approval is based on Sheet Al dated 1/5/00 and accompanying material board.
2. NOTICE OF FEES, DEDICATIONS, RESERVATIONS OR OTHER EXACTIONS
The Conditions of Project Approval set forth herein may include certain fees, dedication
requirements, reservation requirements, and other exactions. Pursuant to Government Code
Section 66020(d) (1), these Conditions constitute written notice of a statement of the amount of
such fees, and a description of the dedications, reservations, and other exactions. You are hereby
further notified that the 90-day approval period in which you may protest these fees, dedications,

reservations, and other exactions, pursuant to Government Code Section 66020(a), has begun. If
you fail to file a protest within this 90-day period complying with all of the requirements of Section
66020, you will be legally barred from later challenging such exactions.
3. REPLACEMENT TREES
Two 36" box replacement trees shall be planted near the entrance, as approved by staff.
