DESIGN AND REDEVEIDFMENT DENSITY BONUS
WHEREAS, the city Council as a part of the General Plan study, has
reviewed the recammen:1ations of the Planning Camnission am has held
public hearings involvin:J many citizens am hours of discussion, am
WHEREAS, the city Council has concluded its deliberation relative to the
General Plan Amerrlment.
MOO, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. 'Ihat the City Council hereby adopts an ðI!IeI'Dment to the General
Plan as set forth in E>d1i.bit A am B attached hereto am made a
part hereof.
2. 'Ihat the City Council hereby authorizes the Mayor to erxiorse said
adoption.

POLICY 2-22A: SCALE OF RESIDF3lIZAL DEVELOPM=
New residential developrient (including remodeling) shall be reasonably
caTpatible in scale and density with the predominate citywide
single-family residential develop¢nent pattern.
STRATEGY
1. Control Size of New Single-family Construction
Amend zoning ordinances to control the size of new residential
construction.
2. Size and Density of Adjacent Non -Conventional Residential
Residential developnent located in non -conventional zoning districts
shall reduce the scale and intensity of building forms adjacent to
existing single-family neighborhoods to be reasonably ccunpatible
with the adjacent single-family residential development.
Developrbent intensity may be reduced below the minimm dwelling unit
density specified in the land use diagram to accomplish the above
objectives.
3. Privacy and Perceived BuildiM Mass
Minimize excessive visual intrusion into adjacent developed
residential properties and reduce perceived building mass from
adjacent developed residential properties due to grade deferentials.
