CC Resolution No. 7571 , , > RESOIIJrION NO, 7571 A RESOIIJTION OF THE CITY OXJNCIL OF THE CITY OF aJk'J:;KJ.'J.I'I'O FSTABLISHING RUlES GOVERNING AProIN'IMENT AND REAProIN'IMENT 'I'O CITY ADVISORY OODIFS WHEREAS, the city Council of the City of CUpertino wishes to establish unifoDn te:r:ms and conditions of office to adviso:ty COmmittees ani Cormuissions; ani WHEREAS, there are within the City of CUpertino many citizens with talent, expertise ani experience who wish to serve the community; ani WHEREAS, the City Colmcil Þelieves it is inportant to provide these citizens the opportunity to contriliute to their community; NCNl, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of CUpertino establishes the follOltl'in:.J roles governing appointment and reappointJnent to city of CUpertino adviso:ty Þodies. 1. An applicant may file for a maxiJmm¡ of two commissions at anyone application period. 2. J\pplications will be kept active for a maxiJmm¡ of one year after Council review. 3. A member of an adviso:ty Þody, having completed two consecutive te:r:ms, must \olait one year before being eligilile to apply for the same commission or committee. 4. A member who misses IIPre than three meetings consecutively, or who misses 25% of the Þody's meetings in a year shall be considered removed from the adviso:ty Þody. In extraordi.na:ry c:ircumstances the Council could waive this requirement. 5. Incumbents eligible for ani interested in reappointment shall file with the City Clerk at least 15 days prior to the opening of the application period a declaration of intent so other applicants will be aware of possilile reappointJnent.
