CC Resolution No. 7715 RESOIIJTION NO. 7715 A RESOIIJTION OF '!HE CITY aJUNCIL OF '!HE CITY OF aJPERl'INO PROVIDING FOR TEmORARY H:XJSING OF '!HE CITY MANAGER WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of CUpertino has appointed Donald D. Brown as city Manager of the City of CUpertino, effective January 30, 1989; an:l WHEREAS, Section 2.28.020 of the CUpertino M.micipal Code requires that within 180 days of his appoinbnent, the City Manager DD.1St become a resident of the City; an:l WHEREAS, Donald D. Brown is not cu=ently a resident of CUpertino, but will be required to find pemanent housing within the City; an:l WHEREAS, due to the shortage of suitable housing within the City, Donald D. Brown will require tenporary housing 1JI1til suitable pemanent housing becanes available; an:l WHEREAS, the City of residential w1it located at cu=ently unoccupied; an:l WHEREAS, the City Council deteDnines that it is in the best interests of the City to facilitate the lI¥JVE! of Donald D. Brown fran his present residence which is outside the state of California to CUpertino; an:l CUpertino cu=ently owns a con:ianinium 19810 Portal Plaza, CUpertino which is WHEREAS, the provision of tenporary housing to Donald D. Brown was a portion of the lY'III1f'"'nsation package negotiated ):)et;t,æen the City Council an:l Donald D. Brown. NCM, 'IHEREFOkt;, BE IT RESOLVED '!HAT: 1. Donald D. Brown shall have exclusive use of the con:ianinium of residential w1it located at 19810 Portal Plaza, CUpertino for a period of up to 9 Da1ths without payment of rent on corxlition that he pay any an:l all costs of utilities including gas, electric, water, tele¡i1one, gartJage, an:l haneowners association dues. 2. At the end of said 9 Da1ths, if Donald D. Brown wishes to continue to reside on the premises, he shall pay to the city of CUpertino a reasonable SUl\\ as rent, as deteJ:mined by the City Council, based upon carparable rents in the area. Said continued occupancy shall be on a IIalth to m:>nth basis.
