Dear Mayor Chao, Vice Mayor Moore, Councilmembers and Staff,
Please PULL CONSENT ITEM 1O Accounts Payables.
In Attachment B, Page 24 of 36 there is a $12.1M payment to BAZ Industries which we all know is Apple’s sales tax kick back program.
$12.1M is a lot of money to squirrel away without any visibility.
Q1: How was this accounted for in the budgets for the years it was being accumulated/covering?
Q2: Where does it show up in the budget as being allocated but not spent yet? Was it placed in a fund?
Q3: The payment shows it came from the General Fund. There is a lot of money in the General Fund. What is the current breakdown of the General Fund?
