SEITING DATE FOR OONSIDERATION OF ANNEXING AREA DESIGNATED
"GRANADA AVENUE 89-03", PROPERI'Y IDCATED ON T.HE saJ'IH SIDE OF GRANADA
AVENUE BE'IWEEN ORANGE AVENUE AND BYRNE AVENUE;

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of CUpertino has received a
request for annexation of territory designated "Granada Avenue 89-03" from
property owners, Helen an:1 Ray Adzich; an:1
WHEREAS, the property, 0.259j: acre on the south side of Granada Avenue
between Orange Avenue an:1 Byrne Avenue (Am 357-16-025) is contiguous to
the City of CUpertino an:1 is within its uman service area; an:1
WHEREAS, annexation would provide for use of city services; an:1
WHEREAS, this territory is uninhabited an:1 was prezoned on June 4,
1984 to City of CUpertino Rl-7.5 zone; an:1
WHEREAS, the City of CUpertino, as !sad Agency for envirornnental
review CO!!\Pleted an initial study an:1 granted a Negative Declaration for
annexation; an:1
WHEREAS, the County Sw:veyor of Santa Clara County has found the map
an:1 description (Exhibits "A" an:1 "B") to be in accordance with Government
COde Section 56826, the boundaries to be definite an:1 certain, an:1 the
proposal to be in CO!!\Pliance with IAFCO's road annexation policies; an:1
WHEREAS, the fee set by the County of Santa Clara to ca<ler staff costs
for above certification has been paid; an:1
WHEREAS, as provided in Government Code section 56826 the city Council
of the City of CUpertino shall be conducting authority for a
reorganization including an annexation to the City; an:1
WHEREAS, Goverrnnent Code section 56837 provides that if a petition for
annexation is signed by all owners of lan:1 within the affected territory
the City Council may approve or disapprove the annexation without public
hearing;

NCM, ~utŒ, BE: IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the city of
CUpertino hereby initiates annexation proceedings an:1 will consider
annexation of the territory designated "Granada Avenue 89-03" at their
regular meeting of June 5, 1989.
