Background
On October 1 , 2024, Council directed staff to prepare an informational memorandum on
the loss of retail and sales tax revenue due to the rezoning of three pending SB 330 projects
from commercial to residential properties.
While specific sales tax data for individual businesses is confidential and cannot be
disclosed publicly, aggregated sales tax data is nonconfidential and available, as it does
not identify specific businesses. Over the last five full fiscal years during which the
addresses listed below reported sales tax, the aggregated annual sales tax was between
$20,000 and $37,000.
