5. BUILDERICONTRACTOR:
• RESPONSIBILITY FOR METHOD AND MANNER OF CONSTRUCTION AND FOR ALL JOB SITE
SAFETY DURING CONSTRUCTION.
• SHALL BE SOLELY AND COMPLETELY RESPONSIBLE FOR METHOD & MANNER OF ALL
WATERPROOFING. BUILDER/CONTRACTOR SHALL REFER TO SOIL REPORT, GRADING &
DRAINAGE PLAN, AND ALL WATERPROOFING WORK TO BE PERFORMED BY NHQ CERTIFIED
WATERPROOFING COMPANY.
• SHALL PROVIDE THE BUILDING OWNER, MANAGER, AND THE ORIGINAL OCCUPANTS A LIST OF
THE ENERGY -SAVING CONSERVATION FEATURES DEVICES, MATERIALS, AND COMPONENTS
INSTALLED IN THE BUILDING, AND INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO USE THEM EFFICIENTLY, SUCH
FEATURES INCLUDE HEATING, COOLING, WATER HEATING, AND LIGHTING SYSTEMS, AS WELL
AS INSULATION, WEATHER STRIPPING WINDOW SHADES, AND THERMAL MASS MATERIALS,
THE INSTRUCTIONS SHALL BE CONSISTENT WITH SPECIFICATIONS BUT FORTH BY THE
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR.
6. FIRE SPRINKLERS TO BE REVIEWED AND APPROVED UNDER A SEPARATE PERMIT.
7. DEMOLITION PERMIT OBTAIN AT THE CUPERTINO BUILDING DEPARTMENT. PROVIDE ALL
NECESSARY DOCUMENTS AS STATED IN THE DEMOLITION PERMIT PACKET WHICH IS AVAILABLE
ON-LINE (ALSO KNOW AS THE PROCEDURE CHECKLIST FOR DEMOLITION PERMITS) FOR
EXAMPLE, PG&E SHUTOFF, J-NUMBER FOR ASBESTOS REMOVE FROM BAY AREA AIR QUALITY
MANAGEMENT, PEST CONTROL, ETC.
8. SOLAR SYSTEM SHALL BE PERMITTED, INSTALLED, AND INSPECTED PRIOR TO FINAL OF THE
RESIDENCE.
9. A/C UNITS: PLEASE MAKE A NOTE ON THE PLANS THAT THE AC UNIT LOCATION IS NOT APPROVED AS
PART OF THIS PERMIT AND WILL BE REVIEWED IN THE BUILDING PERMIT SUBMITTAL FOR COMPLIANCE
WITH CMC CHAPTER 10.48 COMMUNITY NOISE ORDINANCE.
10. ENGINEER -OF -RECORD WILL PERFORM THE SPECIAL INSPECTION FOR SHEAR WALL NAILING FOR THIS
PROJECT. (NOTE IS REQUIRED BY THE CUPERTINO BUILDING DIVISION.)
