Cupertino Safe Routes to School and Via Workshops a. Held event on April 1st b. estimated —200 students came to the workshops c. learn more about bicyclist and pedestrian safety and the variety of resources that Cupertino Safe Routes to School and Via offers • What went well: o Promoting and marketing (school announcements, instagram, word-of-mouth) o Communication with administration (Mrs. Fernandez, Mr. Wong, Mr. White helped us with reserving the venue and making sure everything aligned to protocol) o Planning and Organization (Birgit's visit, chairs/tables, music, adequate food purchase) o Incentive (bike smoothie was a GREAT addition!) • What we could have improved: o didn't use up our budget (could've included more events/incentives) o timing for grant events (coincided w/ AP testing, prom, final projects) Pictures I ‘ ''t‘ ,` CITY OF CUPERTINO K .1.-- 6.
