Destruction of Records
\fg
We are requesting that our copies of Traffic Accident Records between the
dates of December 1, 1981 through April 30, 1981 be destroyed.
These records are taking up space in our record storage area and they
have been recorded in our computer file system.
I must bring to your attention that the Santa Clara Sheriff Department is
the originator of these documents and subsequently responsible for the
original records.
In addition we have old traffic counts that have no value to our division
from 1971 thru 1980.
Please advise me as to which method I should use to properly destroy these
records.
