PPI is signatory to Unions and utilizes Laborers and Operating Engineers in performing our work. PPI began working onsite at the above mentioned project in the beginning of August 2024 and a majority of the work was completed. There was more work done in September, but due to scheduling conflicts we could not meet the required percentage of 60% for our Laborers craft, nor the required percentage of 30% for our Operating Engineers craft. PPI has been onsite in October already and we have exceeded the 60% requirement for Laborers, which is currently at 70%. We have also increased our percentage to 22% for Operating Engineers. We will be doing more work in October to reach the 30% requirement for Operating Engineers. PPI will ensure we are in compliance through the duration of the project, for both crafts. We are currently working on entering a portion of our craft workers into Advanced/Accelerrated Apprenticeship Programs that have been approved by the Division of Apprenticeship Standards (DAS). PPI will consistently work cooperatively with our client, the Owner, and the State to meet, or exceed, all project goals by using graduates of applicable apprenticeship programs. Please let me know if you have any questions.
