A RESOWl'ION OF '!HE CITY CXJONCIL OF '!HE CITY OF aJPERI'INO
AMENDING RATES, F1IRES AND TARIFFS FOR '!HE OPERATION
OF TAXICABS
WHERF.AS, certain holders of taxicab owner's franchises pursuant to
CUpertino Municipal Code O1apter 5,28 applied to the City Council to have
it fix and determine taxicab rates, fares and tariffs; and
WHERF.AS, the City Council has conducted a public hearing concerning
taxicab rates and fares; and
WHERF.AS, the Council has determined that taxicabs operating pursuant
to CUpertino Municipal Code O1apter 5.28 are experiencing rising costs of
operation; and
WHERF.AS, the City of CUpertino tries to maintain rates consistent with
neighboring cities, particularly San Jose which has approved a rate
increase;
NCM, 'mEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the city Council of the City of
CUpertino hereby approves rates, fares and tariffs for the operation of
taxicabs as listed in Exhibit "A", which is inco:rporated as a part of this
resolution,
PASSED AND ADOPl'ED at a regular meeting of the city Council of the
city of CUpertino this 2nd day of July , 1990, by the following

FIAG DROP:
Increase frcm $1.50 to $1.80 including first 1/9th mile,
MIIElIGE RATE:
Increase from $0.15 per l/lOth mile ($1.50 per mile) to $0,20 per
1/9th mile ($1.80 per mile),
WAITING TIME:
Increase from $0,2333 per minute ($14,00 per hour) to $0,30 per minute
for a max:iJDum of $18.00 per hour.
