CC Resolution No. 8180 RESOIlJI'ION NO, 8180 A RESOWl'ION OF THE CITY CDUNCIL OF '!HE CITY OF aJ.EI!;ttl'INO REQUESTING THE I.FJ\GUE OF CALIFORNIA (.;J.'l·~ ADOPI' A RESOIIJTION CALLING FOR STATEWIDE OOOPERATION AND PARrICIPATION IN WATER OONSERVATION WHEREAS, there is a shortage of water in California because of insufficient rainfall during the past four years; and WHEREAS, it is recognized that, at this time, same communities in California have more =itical water shortages than others and, in response, have adopted water conservation programs; and WHEREAS, the health and economic well being of the state of California depe:rrls upon adequate supplies of water to all cities and communities in the state, and WHEREAS, there are benefits to be derived in regional cooperation to make water distribution more equitable during this time of drought that is of statewide concem, NCM, ~uRE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of CUpertino requests that the league of California cities adopts a resolution urg:m;r all communities in California to adopt water conservation ordinances and measures calling for a miniInum of 20% cutback in water const1lIption from 1987 water use levels, PASSED AND AOOPI'ED city of CUpertino this vote: at a regular meeting of the City Council of the 3rd day of July , 1990, by the following vote Members of the City Council AYES: Goldman, Koppel, Sorensen, Szabo, Rogers NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None ATrEST: APPROVED: /s/ Dorothy Cornelius City Clerk /s/ Barbara A.
