A RESOIIJTION OF '!HE CI'I'Y CXXJNCIL OF '!HE CI'I'Y OF aJPERI'INO
ESTABLISHING A YOO'IH S:roRIS RFSERVE FUND
WHEREAS, it is the mutual desire of the city of CUpertino and the
CUpertino Union School District to preserve for future generations the
availability of open space representing approximately forty acres of
existin;¡' school fields; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to :I1nprove the overall quality and usability
of the existin;¡' sports facilities by makin;J certain inprovements; and
WHEREAS, it is the intent to enhance the maintenance levels of these
facilities and to ~.LUI'o.Jte continued cooperation between the CUpertino
union School District and the city of CUpertino.

CUpertino does ordain as follows:
1. It is the intent of the City Council of the City of CUpertino to
establish a Youth Sports ReseJ:ve funi in the event that Ordinance No.
1534 related to the in1;JΕ“ition of a utility user tax is approved by
the voters in November of 1990.
2. '!he funjs for the youth Sports ReseJ:ve F\Ird shall be derived solely
fran future Park Dedication Fees when those fees are re:i.mbursed to the
General F\Ird.
3. From said funi, éIlOOIJnts will, fran t:i1ne to t:i1ne, be appropriated by
the city council for the p.u:pose of renovation and expansion of the
Youth Sport facilities on various CUpertino Union School District
school sites as further delineated by a master plan prepared jointly
by the City of CUpertino and the School District and in conformance
with the city's Five Year Capital Inprovements plan. '!he requirements
of said funi are estimated to be approximately $5 million. F\Irrls
could also be used for up;¡radin;J fields CMned by the Fren'ont Union
High School District in the event an a'3.L~ is reached between the
city of CUpertino and the School District at a future date.
4. Said Youth Sports ReseJ:ve F\Ird shall, upon approval of Ordinance No.
1534 by the voters, be established with an initial sum of $1.1 million
from the General F\Ird representin;J Park Dedication funjs previously
re:i.mbursed to the General F\Ird.
