NECESSITY, HEAIJIH, SAFEI'Y OR WELFARE RID;2UIRES THE
roRMATION OF AN UNDERGRCOND urILITY DISTRIcr ON
HCMESTEAD ROAD AT DEANZA BJlJlEVARD
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the city of CUpertino as
follows:
WHEREAS, Homestead Road and DeAnza Boulevard are extensively used by
the general public and =ies a heavy volume of vehicular traffic; and
WHEREAS, ~ will elllnil1ate a heavy concentration of
overhead distribution facilities; and
WHEREAS, remJVal of these lines is consistent with the City's policy
of UOOergrol.mling;
NCM, ~, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1. NOI'ICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the
city Council of the city of CUpertino on March 4, 1991, at the
hour of 6:45 p.m. in the Council Q1amber of the City Hall,
CUpertino, California, to ascertain whether the public necessity,
health, safety or welfare requires the remJVal of poles, overl1ead
wires and associated overhead structures and the uMerground
installation of wires and facilities for supplying electric
communication, or similar associated service in the district
hereinabove described.
2. At such hearing all persons interested shall be given an
cg:¡ortunity to be heard. Said hearing may be continued from til1le
to time as may be det:e1:mined by the city CounciL
3. The city Clerk shall notify all affected property cmners as shown
on the last eq.¡alized assessment roll and utilities concerned of
the til1le am place of such hearing by mailing a copy of this
resolution to such property cmners and utilities concerned at
least ten (10) days prior to the date thereof.
4. The area proposed to be included in the district is shown upon
that certain map entitled PROIœED ~ UNDERGRCOND urILITY
DISTRIcr, dated January 13, 1991, which is on file in the office
of the City Clerk of the City of CUpertino.
