TR-2023-053 - Arborist Report Community Development Department Planning Division — Cupertino CUPERTINQ APPROVED Case # TR-2023-053 Application Number(s) Approval Body: Director/ Staff Approval Date 12/13/23 Signature Catherine Tarone ARISU IST REPORT Case Manager Site Location: 10072 Amador Oak Court Cupertino, CA 95014 Prepared by: Greg Miller Certified Arborist#WE6323A 1500 Brommer Street Santa Cruz, CA 95062 (831)476-1200 Office (831) 476-1207 Fax This evaluation was prepared to the best of our ability in accordance with currently accepted standards of the International Society of Arboriculture. No warranty as to the contents of this evaluation is intended, and none shall be inferred from statements or opinions expressed. Trees can and do fail without warning. OBSERVATIONS: 10072 Amador Oak Court There is a large Monterey Pine tree located close to address that measures 31" inches diameter at 4.5 feet above grade. This tree is completely dead with no visual evidence of any green growth in canopy. Due to the close proximity to building and to street, I recommend this tree be removed before it becomes a hazard. It should be replaced not with another Monterey Pine tree due to being prone to Pitch Canker, and also Turpentine Beetle infestation. A 36"Box Bay Laurel would be a good native replacement tree.
