WHEREAS, in accxm:lanoe with the 1991 Base Closure Camlissia1's
recxmœndati.on and the CJH:'Loval of the President and Ccngress, the
Department of Defense is new in the process of transferring all Naval Air
station M:>ffett Field to the operational authority of NASA/J\mes ReseIIrà1
Center; and
WHEREAS, there have been efforts made to spansor geœral aviatia1 at
M:>ffett Field altOOugh NASA's plans f= the facility have not been made
clear;
tm, ~Ct<Js, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
CUpertino hereby declAres its cg;a¡ition to use of the M:>ffett Field site
f= Y"".....al aviatia1 and its En.JRX>rl f= the 1991 Base Closure
Camlissia1' s recxmœndati.on that all of M:>ffett Field be transferretl to
full operational authority of NASA upon the Navy's departure in 1994.
