AUI'HCRIZING THE PUBLIC WJRKS DIRECICR '10 SIGN RIGHT-oF-WAY
CERTIFlCATlOOS IN a:NNECl'IΠWITH S'IM'E AND FEDERALLY FUNDED
ROAD PROJECl'S
WHEREAS, in order to obtain Federal and state assistance in COIUlection
with state and Federally funded road projects, and for the state
Department of Transportation to awrove the projects for advertising, it
is necessary that the City of Cupertino certify to the state Department of
Transportation that the rights-of-way necessary for the proper execution
of the projects will be or have been aCXIUired; and
WHEREAS, the state of California Department of Transportation, as
provided in the Local Programs Manual VolUlOO 1, will now accept
right-of-way certifications signed by the Public W:>rks Director if the
City Council has by resolution authorized the Director of Public W:>rks to
sign said certifications;
NC:M, ~'ORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
CUpertino hereby authorizes the Public W:>rks Director to execute all
right-of-way certifications required for state and Federally funded
projects and directs the City Clerk to forward a copy of this resolution
to the appropriate office of the state of California.
