I was asked by Brittany Shade of Yamagami's Nursery to inspect and give my
recommendations in regards to a large Deodar Cedar tree located in the middle of the
business at 1361 S. De Anza Blvd. My findings and recommendations are as follows:
This tree is approximately 126" in circumference and approximately 45'tall and in fair
health. The tree is located between to structures and is within 3'of both foundations
(photos attached). It is currently causing structural damage to the concrete foundations to
the point that there is a tripping hazard for customers. It is also causing standing water to
collect causing slipping hazards for customers.
Due to the extremely hazardous conditions this tree is creating for customers, the close
proximity to the buildings, and the fact that root cutting is not an option I recommend the
removal of this tree.
I hope these observations aid in the decisions regarding this tree. Please feel free to
contact me with any questions.
Sincerely,
David Wood Owner/Arborist

Location of current Cedrus we are proposing to remove due to public saftey issue. It has been lifitng
up concrete and dropping large limbs. Over the years we have grinded down lift and moved our retail
space to work around what we can. But it is now breaking through some patched concrete areas as
well as previously grinded spots creating tripping hazards and property damage.
