Wolfe Road flyway (bridge) during demolition of the Vallco shopping center bridge, on 1/24/2020. The tree was damaged to the point where it was no longer viable, and was removed by the construction team on that date. The value of the tree at the time of its demolition was $390 in terms of appraised dollar value (determined retroactively by Walter Levison), per the guidelines set forth in Guide for Plant Appraisal 10t" edition, which is roughly 80% of the cost of installing one (1) 24" box size tree in the landscape when using a value equivalency system such as is used by nearby City of Saratoga Planning Division.'
