Dear Commissioners,
I remember about 20 years ago when the library was being renovated, I attended a planning
commission meeting to determine is a street from Pacifica could be built next to the cyclone
fence to the east of the library. Luckily there was a member of our neighborhood on the the
commission and she spoke up in support of us not to build a road from Pacifica because of the
amount of foot traffic on Pacifica next to Regnart Creek. Hopefully the field can be designated
a park so that a trail is not paved to the trailhead of Regnart Creek Trail. The roots of the trees
are so close to the surface and the sidewalk, disturbing them might mean the slow death of
the tree as our family has experienced in doing work in our backyard. The trees are so
important in providing shade and and the enjoyment of the field.
Thank you for letting me express my feelings on this subject matter.
