To honor our community spirit while supporting the
public health response, the City shifted its regularly
scheduled Earth and Arbor Day festivities to a digital
format: Cupertino.org/EarthDay. On Earth Day (April
22), nearly 200 community members visited our
Virtual Earth Day page.
We hope you will continue to celebrate our shared
planet and community with us. Check out
Cupertino.org/EarthDay for crafts, activities, DIY
projects, and tips for enjoying nature and saving
money at home. While COVID-19 has changed the
way we work and play, there are many ways to
make Cupertino a better place right from your
home!
Healthy Habits for
Cyclists + Pedestrians
With less car traffic on the road, a walk or bike
ride in Cupertino can be a fun way to exercise,
enjoy nice weather, and travel to essential
activities. Check out these tips for staying safe.

Residential Waste Updates
Recology has resumed all normal services in
Cupertino; find up-to-date information here. Please
set out carts 18-21 inches apart so that they can be
picked up easily by the collection truck.
How do I safely dispose of PPE?
Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as
disposable masks and latex gloves should be
placed in your trash/landfill cart. Learn more
