(This was a joint meeting with the City Council.) SALUTE TO THE FLAG ROLL CALL Coune. Present: Johnson, Plungy, Rogers, Sparks, Mayor Gatto Planning Commissioners Present: Adams Binneweg, Blaine, Koenitzer (7:45 p.m.), Chairperson Claudy Staff Present: City Manager Quinlan City Clerk Cornelius Director of Public Works Viskovich Director of Planning and Development Sisk Assistant to the City Manager Brown Assistant Planning Director Cowan Associate Planner Piasecki City Attorney Kilian The Mayor announced that there would be a moment of silence for Mr. Louis Stocklmeir. Mayor Gatto then turned the meeting over to Chairperson Claudy of the Planning Commission. It was moved by Com. Adams, seconded by Com. Blaine and passed with Com. Koenitzer absent to consider approval of the minutes at the end of the meeting. PUBLIC HEA.1{INGS ~ 1. Application I-GPA-80 of City of Cupertino: General Plan Amendment to consider a comprehensive amendment of the City of Cupertino General Plan and a specific plan for the Stevens Creek Boulevard Planning area. The General Plan Amendment will concentrate on land use, traffic circulation, housing and economic issues which affect the entire community. The Stevens Creek Boulevard Specific Plan will concentrate on the development of a more detailed land use, circulation and urban design plan for properties which abut the reach of Stevens Creek Boulevard between Stelling Road on the west and Stern Avenue on the east. Assistant Planning Director Cowan presented the Commission's consensus to Council. (City Clerk's Note: Com. Koenitzer arrived at 7:40 p.m.) MINUTES OF THE SEPTEMBER 27, 1982 PLANNING CO!~!ISSION MEETING PC-399 Page 3 UNFINISHED BUSINESS The Director of Planning and Development was asked the status of the house at Stevens Creek Boulevard and Foothill. He informed the Com- mission that he had been told there was a potential buyer. The Com- mission asked that he verify this. The Commission also inquired as to the status of the Photo Drive-Up plans for improvements. Director of Planning and Development Sisk reported that the plans for improvements were progressing and that the proposed new signs were currently being reviewed. The Commission requested that they be kept posted zegarding progress and that perhaps the bonding company should be notified regarding the status. It was moved by Com. Blaine, seconded by Com. Adams and passed unan- imously to continue Application l-GPA-80, General Plan Amendment, to the meeting of October 25, 1982. At 10:00 p.m. the Commission adjourned.
