City of Cupertino: Public Hearing to consider modification of real estate sign regulations and modification of the Sign Ordinance to allow civic organization and real estate signs in public rights of way for the entire City. First Hearing. Director of Planning and Development Sisk stated that on Exhibit "A" and Exhibit !lA_I" on Item C, where it says IIthree off-site Signsll it should read "three open house signs." Item No.2 and Item No.4 should also read "open house signs" rather than lIoff-site signs." Mr. Jim Hemphill, Cornish and Carey real estate, Saratoga, informed Council of what is allowed in the City of Saratoga regarding real es- tate signs. He stated that there could be up to four directional signs at an intersection, no name would be on the sign, but it would say IIGpenll and have an arrow pointing in the appropriate direction. .- Keith Clautell, Cupertino, questioned the difference between the ASAC recommendation and the staff recommendation. He inquired regard- ing placement of signs on corner triangles and obstruction of view. He stated a preference for the ASAC recommendation. MINUTES OF THE NOVEMBER 22, 1982 PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING UNFINISHED BUSINESS 2. Application 2-TM-81 - Monta Vista Properties (Terry Brown) - Request for extension of Tentative Map. It was moved by Com. Blaine, seconded by Com. Claudy and passed unan- imously to approve a one-year extension of the tentative map. The Commissioners requested a copy of the City Attorney's memo regarding the below market rate program. The Director of Planning and Development informed the Planning Com- mission that the City Council may not be ready to refer the General Plan back to them by November 29. Therefore, a meeting on the 29th may not be necessary. At 8:15 p.m., the Commission adjourned to 7:30 p.m., November 29, 1982.
