RESOLUTION NO. 1805
OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO
RECOMMENDING THAT THE. CITY COUNCIL FORWARD COMMENTS
TO THE CITY OF LOS ALTOS OF NOT BEING OPPOSED TO THE
CONSTRUCTION OF A 216-UNIT APARTMENT DEVELOPMENT
LOCATED ON HOMESTEAD ROAD NEAR FOOTHILL EXPRESSWAY.
•
Findings:
The Commission finds that the proposal of constructing a 216-unit apartment
project with 33% of the units (72) being devoted to retirement housing to
be consistent with the social goals set forth in the City of Cupertino General
Plan, and therefore is not in opposition to the proposed development. However,
the Commission finds that due to traffic conditions within the Homestead/
Foothill Expressway area, Los Altos should require the developer to install
a traffic signal at the project driveway intersection with Homestead Road.
